Event Partners

Procurex Scotland 2018 are delighted to be working with the Centres of Expertise and other leading organisations as our event partners, all of whom will be exhibiting on the day.

Scottish Government

The public sector spends over £11 billion a year on goods and services across the public sector. This provides an excellent platform to work with the public, private and third sectors to “deliver procurement that improves public services for a prosperous, fairer and more sustainable Scotland.”

Public procurement is a key partner and enabler to deliver Scotland’s economic strategy. We invest in our people, infrastructure and assets in a sustainable way, encourage innovation, and promote inclusive growth

Legislation has re-enforced the principles of the Scottish Model of Procurement. It maintains the ethos of the public procurement reform programme – business friendly, socially responsible procurement that delivers better outcomes for Scotland.

Our public procurement contracts are amongst the most accessible in the world for micro, small and medium size organisations. We are providing opportunities for Scotland’s small and medium sized enterprises and third sector organisations to benefit through public sector business both domestically and in other countries.

Scotland Excel

Cyber Essentials

Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed and industry-supported scheme that helps businesses protect themselves against the growing threat of cyber attacks and provides a clear statement of the basic controls organisations should have in place to protect them.

Gaining Cyber Essentials certification enables organisations to showcase their credentials as trustworthy and secure when it comes to cyber security.

The certification defines a focused set of controls which provide clear guidance on basic cyber security for organisations of all sizes, and offers a sound foundation of cyber security measures that all types of organisations can implement at a low cost.

Being Cyber Essentials certified is mandatory for all organisations bidding for all central government and MOD contracts that deal with the handling of personal information and the provision of certain ICT products and services. Therefore, if you’re looking to bid for these contracts, you must hold Cyber Essentials certification.
